摘要
Water is essential for all human beings, animals, plants and other living organisms. The common methods of desalination salt water for production of fresh water by distillation, reverse osmosis and electro dialysis are intensive energy techniques. However, in remote arid areas, the desalination needs not exceed a few cubic meters per day. This decentralized demand favour local water production by developing other desalination processes, especially those using renewable energy. Present work to compare the effect of water depth, single slope and double slope and charcoal as energy storage material is filled in the cylinder and is placed in the still basin in vertical and horizontal positions also compared with the conventional still. To maintain at minimum depth of water in the basin is 0.01 m. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
