Parameters optimization during filter design based on improved genetic algorithm

摘要：
An improved genetic algorithm (IGA) uses a float representation and increases the exploitation of the local solution by non-uniform mutation operator. and parameter optimization of filter is achieved by means of the IGA.Comparing with conventional optimal methods and canonical genetic algorithm, the IGA has fast convergence rate and good precision. This method may produce a better design and guarantee the stability of designed filter by constraining the parameters. Two examples of infinite-impulse-response (IIR) digital filters in a cascade form are considered. The results prove that the method is effective and usable.
