The fake news and the Ministry of Corporate Truth

This article focuses on the fight against disinformation from the perspective of political economy, taking into account economic and political interests of a variegated group of institutional actors. In special, it is suggested that the fact-checking model, as well as the disinformation-fight network organized around it, has deep roots in models of production and distribution of legitimated knowledge associated to the project of neoliberal globalization.
