Based on the microscopic governing equations at the pore scale, the volume averaging method was used to developed, at the macroscopic scale, the governing equations for the non-Newtonian viscoelastic flows through the porous media. We focus our work on the Oldroyd-B viscoelastic fluid which was simulated by the EVSS/SUPG FEM methods. Simulated results show excellent agreement with the literature and these methods are stable and effective which can be successfully used to simulated the viscoelastic flows through the porous media.
