摘要
A new method of study of acoustic noise emitted by Rotating Electrical Machines is presented. It complements the classical study of noise emitted by this type of machines. This work shows the result of a preliminary study on a three-phase induction Dahlander-type motor, fed with modulation techniques (Pulse Width Modulation, PWM) to identify the contribution to the acoustic quality for distinct pole-number configuration. The modulation techniques employed have been analyzed in previous research in which was determined their contribution to the noise levels emitted by a machine of similar characteristics as that employed here. As such, with the present study an attempt to compliment and corroborate the results obtained up until now is made, as well as initiates a new focus of analysis that can serve as the basis for future research of other operation forms and regimes, and also other kinds of rotating electrical machines
