A. M. REMIZOV AND HIS STRUGGLE FOR "DREAM"

The article analyzes several events pertaining to the writer's participation in the literary life of the Russian Paris, as reflected in his album Foreign Censorship (1924-1931), a collection of manuscript fragments and personal correspondence with the editors. Precedents of negative perception of Remizov's work by the editorial boards of various periodicals have been discovered. The case studies outline the links between the formation of Remizov's autobiographical principle and the problem of legitimizing the genre of "dreamss". Remizov's tactics and methods as he struggled for his own literary credo are detailed.
