摘要
Rail is one of the vital components of the railway system. Rail flaw detection plays an important role in ensuring the safety of railway transportation. Nowadays, rail inspection system based on conventional ultrasonic technology can't meet the practical application needs well due to the problems of low-detection coverage rate and inconvenient to change ultrasonic angle. To solve those problems, a high speed phased array ultrasonic technology is proposed for rail inspection. By utilizing this phased array technology, rail inspection speed can be improved to 100Km/h, with the character of better ultrasonic coverage and convenient to change ultrasonic angle without replacing probe. In summary, high speed phased array technology can meet the inspection demands of high speed, high efficiency, and high coverage in Chinese rail inspection.
