摘要
It is expected that in the near future tells of millions of users will have access to distributed information systems through wireless connections. Mobile computing devices like PDAs. together with a land-based and wireless communication network infrastructure are the existing technical prerequisites for continuous access to networked services. This relieves users from being bound to their desktop computers and lets them spread out into the world. But using tile different mobile facilities often require a lot of special concerns, like Security, which is a major one. In this paper, we report on the development of an authentication protocol (LAP), which makes a mobile and distributed system more secure and flexible. Futhermore, we examine its functionality to provide authentication, privacy and data integrity by verifying it. The proposed protocol is suitable for conducting secure transactions using mobile and wireless devices and offers good performance.
