On the declarative specification of models

摘要：
The use of graphical drawing tools for developing the software models is discussed. A diagram's two-dimensional representation is lot more expressive than text, which readers typically scan from left to right and from top to bottom. Diagrams can be viewed from different directions to gain insights, while using a larger symbol set makes them more expressive. In addition, different levels of detail can be obtained from the same diagram.
