摘要
In this paper we present a wireless Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which enables triple-axis measurements of acceleration and angular velocity on a rotor blade of a wind turbine. Sensor data is transmitted directly to the nacelle and is optimized for minimum latency and power consumption. The potential of the proposed wireless IMU is demonstrated through measurements on a 3.4 MW wind turbine with a 104 m rotating diameter. Findings show that the deployment of wireless IMU's on rotor blades is a feasible approach for the estimation of rotor blade movement during operation.
