Synthesis and Characterization of TiO2 Nano Powders by Pyrogenation-with-Sugar-Protection Method

摘要
Ti(OBu)(4) with absolute alcohol as solvent and stabilized TiCl4 with distilled water as solutes were employed to be titanium resources, respectively, and TiO2 powders were obtained by pyrogenation-with-sugar-protection method. The microstructure and crystal type were analyzed by SEM and XRD. Results show that the obtained powders by both methods have uniform size of about 500 nm. However there are obvious differences in phase-formation temperature regions of anatase and rutile phase. The former method can synthesize pure anatase at 300-500 degrees C and phase transformation to rutile is finished at 600-700 degrees C. In the later method good anatase phases have been formed at 300 degrees C and phase transferred at 700-900 degrees C, The phase formation temperatures of the two methods are both lower than commonly used method.
