COMPARISON OF REPORTING OF LEASING IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY

The aim of the paper is to compare aspects of valuation, booking and reporting of leasing in companies in the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany. On base of determination irreplaceable role of leasing for financing of assets for business, there was made a comparative analysis in relevant laws of the both countries whose are targeted on financial accounting and income tax (mainly from perspective of tax deductibility of leasing ' s payments and costs interest expense). The paper includes a view of International Financial Reporting Standards (IAS/IFRS) from a reason of complexity and primarily from a reason of recently change in application of new standard IFRS 16 - Leasing. Differences coming from booking are summarized thanks to overview of impacts to particular Financial Statements - balance sheet, income statements and cash flow, respectively to financial performance or financial situation (profitability, liquidity, etc.)
