摘要
Hybrid cloud is widely accepted as an infrastructure strategy, however, adoption barriers still remain. Data location is rated as the top challenge for enterprise to implement the cloud strategy. It is a common practice that hybrid cloud of large organizations is partitioned into several infrastructure domains. The partition could be driven by multiple factors, eg. security, geolocation, cost and so on. Therefore, the data location control in multi-domain infrastructure environment is an intriguing area of hybrid cloud management. A policy based method to manage application deployment in hybrid cloud environment is proposed. The method overview is introduced and a proof of concept prototype is implemented. The experimentations in empirical scenarios are made to provide us some insights. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method is effective in controlling data location and improving deployment efficiency.
