摘要
The UK Government, like its European and overseas counterparts, is now committed to increasing use of renewables. The clear objective is for renewables, including wind, to become an accepted and integral part of UK economic and land use planning, so that it can take its proper place in a sustainable future. So far this has not been achieved, despite strong public support and the application of high environmental standards by the industry. This paper suggests ways in which useful progress might be made towards a consensus view of planning for wind energy developments.
