摘要
The ontological requirements' of web-mediated learning environments are complex. Unraveling these complexities calls for each variable to be identified [1]. To assist courseware designers, a 4 component meta-knowledge processing model is proposed [2]. Research has already been carried out on each component in paper based instruction, however very little is known about their interactivity in a web-mediated learning environment. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the metaknowledge processing model and its effects on cross cultural learning platforms in general, and in particular the components of the cognitive style construct.
