On the Sustainable Development of the Logistics Industry of Dongying City in the Context of Economic Transition

As Resource-Based City, Dongying is facing the risk of resource depletion and recession with the continuous exploration of oil and gas resources. In this paper, the author firstly analyses the present status of the industrial structure of Dongyign; and then analyses the current status and positive functions of the logistics industry in the context of economic transition. Finally, the author puts forward several suggestions in promoting the sustainable development of the local logistic industry, e.g. improving the leadership system and perfecting the policy planning; speeding up the construction of logistics infrastructure; reinforcing cross-regional logistics collaboration; cultivating and retaining logistic professionals, and fostering local large logistics enterprises, etc.
