摘要
The key issue to achieve optical subscriber systems is to reduce the cost of components and devices. In particular, optical devices and LSIs used in the ONU of FTTH systems, which NTT has intensively studied, need to be reduced in cost. This paper describes the basic concept and technologies for achieving drastic cost reduction in these devices.
