摘要
This paper presents an REI-Equivalent based decomposition method to solve total transfer capability (TTC) computation in multi-area power systems. Each area makes use of REI-type network equivalents of the other areas in building its TTC computation model and then computes the entire system TTC result, while the central coordinator and other areas do not know the detailed operating information about this area. The developed procedure is successfully applied to calculate the TTC for the IEEE 118 bus test system. Comparative numerical results obtained by using the integrated and the multi-area procedure are presented to validate the proposed method.
