摘要
Design, study and management of Urban Traffic Systems are increasingly difficult and expensive as existing configurations are multiple and complex. The main goal of UTS (Urban Traffic System) is to allow the users to achieve their trips in the network in a reasonable time and with a sufficient safety level. As a modem distributed intelligent technology, Multi-agent system has advantages of others in urban traffic management and control. Many researchers study in this area and a lot of fruits have been achieved in recent years. In this paper we investigate existing multi-agent system application in urban traffic management. Our work shows that these applications involve in traffic modeling and simulation, traffic signal control, congestion and incident management, traffic routing, etc. we make a primary appreciation about their merits and disadvantages, and put forward suggestions for the building of an integrated UTS.
