Multilayered BSCCO-2223 composite conductors with high current capacity can be reproducibly fabricated by means of the "Accordion-Folding Method" (AFM). In this work, we report on the preparation procedure and the electrical characterisation of BSCCO-2223 AFM conductors having suitable electrical and thermal properties for applications as current leads (CLs). Indeed, silver-gold alloy sheathed BSCCO-2223 AFM multilayered conductors have been used for the cold-stage of 13 kA prototype CLs for CERN.
