摘要
Based on RUPTL (10 years planning), PT. PLN (Persero) aims for utilizing Smart Grid Technology in its system. One of the priorities is to enhance the reliability of electricity. This technology consists of sensors and cameras to acquire data. The data is used to determine trends where early detection of failure is possible. Thermal measurement by thermal imaging is one of the frontline monitoring systems for Smart Grid since majority of the defect symptoms can be revealed by temperature differences. The study in this paper shows the project conducted in PT. PLN (Persero) 500kV Switchyard in East Java. Steps in the project included installation, setting, and commissioning are evaluated based on studies on Smart Grid. The result of this study will contribute to further installation in the future.
