摘要
Thirty-tree individuals (partners to persons with spinal cord injury (SCI), their husbands/wives and controls) were screened for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and psychological distress. One of the partners; three of the persons with SCI; and none of the controls met the diagnostic criteria for PTSD. The partners experienced more psychological distress than the controls. Furthermore, seeing ones husband/wife being injured, and time since this injury did relate significantly to PTSD symptoms. Coping and psychological distress did not contribute to PTSD symptoms.
