An efficient checkpoint scheme based on memory profile and time series analysis

摘要
This paper presents an efficient checkpoint scheme based on memory profiling technique and time series analysis for low-overhead checkpoint. To minimize the checkpoint overhead, the proposed checkpoint scheme determines the efficient checkpointing time based on the estimation on the changes of the memory size of a process and the expected checkpoint overhead through the memory profile and adaptive time series analysis. We also present experimental results and the checkpoint overhead of the proposed scheme is reduced compared with the previously developed checkpoint scheme.
