RETRACTED: A Grid-based clustering Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks based on GROUP (Retracted Article)

This paper proposes a modification policy on GROUP (Grid-clustering Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks). This modification aims at getting a better performance, e. g., less average energy consumption of the whole network, less average end-to-end delay of data packet, than GROUP. We call the modified protocol GROUP-M. We simulated both GROUP-M and GROUP on ns2.34 platform, and made the comparison between them. The comparison results showed that our modification on GROUP is valid and effective. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
