摘要：
During the last few decades the randomised controlled clinical trial (RCT) has become the gold standard to prove the efficacy of an intervention. Although this still stands, questions on real-life effectiveness of new medical treatments and concerning which patients specifically will benefit from proven efficacious medicines cannot always be addressed by RCTs.
