摘要
This paper presents an interleaved AC/DC converter to achieve power factor correction (PFC) and line current harmonic reduction. Double boost topology is used to overcome the limit of a narrow turn-off period period in a conventional boost converter and to achieve a high voltage conversion ratio. The continuous conduction mode (CCM) with fixed switching frequency is used to control active switch such that the line current is a sinusoidal waveform in phase with line voltage. Compared to the boundary conduction mode (BCM) approach, the proposed converter with CCM scheme has less conduction losses on power semiconductors and inductors. In order to increase the load power and reduce the size of magnetic components, the interleaved pulse-width modulation (PWM) is adopted to control two circuit modules. Thus the ripple currents at input and output sides are decreased and the size of inductors and capacitors are also reduced. The circuit configuration, principle operation, system analysis, and design consideration of the proposed AC/DC converter are presented in detail. Finally, experiments conducted on a laboratory prototype rated at 800W were presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed converter.
