BP artificial neural network applied to evaluation of the core competence of enterprises in the old industrial base

Aiming at the adjust and reform the old industrial base (OIB) problem, a multi-layer structure is built up for the core competence evaluation index of enterprises in the OIB using the AHP method. The BP artificial neural network theory is applied to evaluate the core competence of enterprises in the OIB. The demonstrative analysis illustrates that evaluation results suit to the fact. Based on it, the quantitative evaluation method about the core competence of enterprises in the OIB is developed.
