A New Combined Super-exponential Iteration Blind Equalization Algorithm

Based on the advantage of the fast convergence rate and the disadvantages of large MSE and worse ability to correct phase rotation of Super-Exponential Iteration blind equalization algorithm (SEI), a new combined super-exponential Iteration blind equalization algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm combines SEI algorithm with decision directed (DD) algorithm by using the soft-decision method. For the time-varying Doppler underwater acoustic channels, the proposed algorithm's performance can be improved because its phase rotation can be quickly corrected by using the PLL, the MSE can be reduced, and the convergence is improved by combining SEI algorithm with DD algorithm. The efficiently of the proposed algorithm can be proved by computer simulation with underwater acoustic channels.
