What holds the Balint Group Work Together in the "innermost"? - Thoughts about Emotional Attractiveness and the Group Process

The object of the present representations refer first on during the last years in a continuously working Balintgruppe of different participants supposed decreasing,emotional attraction" of the Balint-work, especially also in the younger generation of doctors. To the other it is about the perspective considerations activated thereby for the practical support of an,internal emotional foundation effective with lasting effect again" and with it of a better experienceable attraction of the Balintgroup-work on site and on conferences. It is made clear with which elementary personal meaning owns the Balintgroup-work particularly for the individual professional emotional-affective discharge, psycho-hygienie and with it the Psychoprophylaxe against forms of the dangerous "burn out-syndrome". It are worked out of the other content aspects of an intrinsic motivation which seem essential for follower: For the establishment of a primarily individually responding, internally binding emotional experience of the Balintgroup-work and with it of her emotional attraction with the often younger participants. Besides, the essential process course was outlined with reference to psychodynamic and group- dynamic model images being in the literature [2,9,10] within the scope of such Balintgroup-work in six closely phases interlocked with each other. It was made clear at which striking sensitive places in the process course the at the beginning called aim positions are affected especially strikingly. A result stresses the today's fundamental chances for the support more individually of emotional attraction of the Balintgroup-work by a more lasting emotional experience of an internal foundation this psycho-hygienically so elementarily significant group work.
