摘要
The removal of bromate and Natural Organic Matter (NOM) during the transition from fresh GAC to BAC was investigated by using two GAC filters with different type of GAC. The removal of bromate, nitrate, NOM in GAC filter apparently decreased during the transition. Although high level of anions and NOM, and high pH value may greatly affect bromate reduction in GAC filter, in initial period one GAC filter could still have a significant reduction of bromate ion. Backwashing could have a very limited role on improving bromate reduction during transition of from fresh GAC to BAC.
