摘要
This paper presents a new load curve methodology based on an enhancement of the Extended Ward equivalent for offline contingency analysis in GB transmission system. The proposed approach maintains the desirable properties of the Extended Ward equivalent method and can update the parameters by exchanging essential operational information between different cardinal points in the demand curve. Different running arrangements at substations have also been considered as part of the proposed new method. The purpose of the study is to minimize simulation time and business process for analyzing the network, by representing it with minimum modelling components without compromising the security standards and other grid obligations. Test results demonstrate that the new approach is efficient and maintains sufficient accuracy.
