摘要
Based on emerging theorizing in the emotional labor, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, the study examined the associations between emotional labor, job satisfaction and the organizational citizenship behavior among university teachers. We hypothesized that emotional labor would be associated with organizational citizenship behavior directly and indirectly through job satisfaction by using data obtained from 229 university teachers. Results from the multiple linear regression analysis indicated that the surface action of emotional labor had significant negative effect on organizational citizenship behavior and the deep action of emotional labor had significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior of university teachers; the influence of emotional labor on organizational citizenship behavior was partly mediated by job satisfaction among university teachers. It was suggested that we can promote the organizational citizenship behavior by reducing surface action and improving the deep action of emotional labor of university teachers.
