Operating experience with the largest Loesche mill currently used for cement production

Cementos Mexicanos, awarded Loesche Latinoamericana S. A. the contract to supply an LM 56.2+2 C mill for grinding clinker as part of the 1.2 million t/a increase in cement production at the works of Cementos Nacionales S. A. (belonging to the CEMEX Group) in San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. With an installed rating of 4000 kW this is currently the largest Loesche mill in the world used for clinker grinding. After a completion time of only 14 months the plant was commissioned in August 2000. The results achieved during the plant acceptance trials were significantly better than the warranty values.
