摘要
Apprentice work is a major strategy to ensure education and integration into the labor market for young workers from 14 to 24 years of age. Considering that physical and mental integrity of young workers is related to the adequate information and conditions of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) workspace and their right to quality work, this study evaluates teaching facilities, through the application of a risk assessment methodology and a legal compliance audit. Risk analysis and audits performed demonstrate that students are exposed to significant risks, equivalent to real work environments, once 37 legal infractions were detected. Besides the framework of apprentices' education, OHS teaching and its relevance, the importance of adopting specific indicators that allow better exposure assessment of this working group to hazards and occupational hazards are discussed.
