Hydrogenation of CO2 over YBa2Cu3O6 similar to 7 Superconductor catalyst has been studied. The main products are methanol, CO, and trace of CH3OCH3. XPS, XRD, AFM techniques have been used to characterize the structure, copper oxidation state and active site. It was found that at in situ reaction case, the structure of YBa2Cu3O6 similar to 7 transformed from orthorhombic to tetragonal phase, the active site on the surface possible be the Cu (I), the level of particle dispersion at reaction state increased in comparision with that of pure YBa2Cu3O6 similar to 7 untreated with CO2 and H-2.
