Changing the way we do business: Meeting new industry challenges

For the first time publicly held water and wastewater utilities are facing tough competition for their services. These emerging competitors are typically very large, European private utilities. But, this is not a public or private issue; the issue is one of monopoly versus competition. These new competitors are changing the rules and challenging public utilities. This presentation will identify who the competition is, why it is happening, and what public utilities can do to improve their ability to be more productive in a growing competitive environment.
