摘要
This paper proposes reconfigurable Vivaldi antenna operation at millimeter wave band 24-30 GHz for high capacity 5G communication. The solution is based on channeling the current flow to different direction by utilizing RF switches to achieve beam steering capability in three directions 0 degrees, 90 degrees and 180 degrees. The approach has several notable merits, namely low cost, compact size of 9 x 7 mm(2), and ease of integration. The idea is proven in three ways: analytically, simulation and experimental prototype. The simulation was done using CST simulator software. From the result the simulated and measured output have a good agreement, and cover a wide bandwidth from 18 GHz to 50 GHz.
