摘要
Aim. - The aim of this review is to demonstrate that the determination of several inorganic elements, not currently included in the list of analyses reimbursed by the French national system of health insurance, may be essential for the diagnosis and management of patients suffering from inorganic element deficiencies or overloads involving environmental, genetic or health conditions. Methods. - Recommendations related to inorganic element bioanalyses were searched from medical organisations, agencies and societies and were examined. Results. - These recommendations were summarized regarding different nutritional or clinical situations, environmental exposure or the presence of implanted medical devices. Conclusion. - Our group considers that the addition of various inorganic element determinations to the list of analyses reimbursed by the French national system of health insurance is urgently required and will improve medical care.
