摘要
Gastromyzon embalohensis is described from the middle Embaloh and Mendalam Rivers in the Bentuang Karimun National Park of West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It is distinguished from other species of Gastromyzon by the combination of the following: absence of scales on the abdomen, angular gill opening, absence of postoral pouch, uniformly brownish body with white vermiculation on head and predorsum, presence of subopercular groove, snout profile gently sloping in front of the nasal opening, and pectoral fin usually not overlapping pelvic fin.
