Development strategy for on-board, off-board and, remote diagnostics

摘要
Since 1996 CLAAS has a diagnostic off-board system that shows service information, wiring harnesses and primarily CAN-Bus data. Error information and additional documents are shown on a machine terminal as part of on-board diagnostic as well. This presentation shows the concept of on-board, off-board and remote diagnostics and gives information about their development process. Starting with the specification of different diagnostic applications one main goal of CLAAS is to re-use software parts. The experiences with this strategy and a short summing up of the results are figured out.
