摘要
Various critical thinking might therefore be influenced by individual learning preferences. A critical thinking for engineering students contribute the factors how students' learned to achieve the learning outcome and readiness of students of entering market needs. Existing trends in technology and work place need engineers equipped with critical thinking skills such as solving problems, making decisions and understanding of technical and engineering skills for successful future. This paper is discussed the dimensions of critical thinking of engineering students based on analysis, evaluation, deduction and induction. 315 students from engineering faculties involved in this research. Survey was conducted and questionnaires were distributed to all respondents. The result showed that engineering strudents are tedency in analisis critical thinking however they also in similar score for evaluation, induction and deduction dimension. Based on the distribution of student's response, it can be concluded that students were convinced they do possess skills to think criticallyResults also indicates there is no significant difference between engineering students in term of analysis in ciritical thinking however there are significant differences in evaluation, induction and deduction dimenasions of critical thinking. In conclusion, engineering actual job situations in workplace are paratically different from types of situations in industrial training that students attend therefore its need to cope engineering students with higher level of critical thinking that they will apply in workplace.
