摘要
The Metropolitan Expressway in Japan has adopted the two-coat waterproofing system for improving deteriorated concrete bridge decks occurred excessive fatigue cracking and free lime since 2015. This waterproofing system consists of both 1st water proofing layer using newly developed high penetration bonding agent and 2nd water proofing layer using hot applied asphalt waterproofing membrane. The high penetration bonding agent is extremely low viscosity, the agent deeply fills and bond to the surface cracks passing through the deck. The authors conducted the full-scale wheel loading tests of the deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge deck specimen applying high penetration bonding agent. The test results show the effectiveness of application of this agent for improving the fatigue resistance of existing reinforced concrete bridge deck.
