Pt supported micro-mesoporous catalysts: synthesis, characterization and catalytic evaluation in n-heptane isomerization

摘要
In the present work, Pt catalysts supported on a series of SBA-16, MCF, SBA-16-HZSM-5 and MCF-HZSM-5 materials were synthesized and used for the n-heptane isomerization reaction. The textural and structural properties of catalysts were characterized by XRD, FT-IR, UV-Vis DRS, SEM, NH3-TPD, and nitrogen adsorption-desorption analysis. The catalytic tests were investigated in a continuous fixed bed reactor fed by a stream of n-heptane at 200-350 degrees C under atmospheric pressure. The obtained results confirm that the Pt supported on these micro-mesoporous materials have fair enough performance. The Pt/SBA-16-HZSM-5 catalyst indicates higher isomerization selectivity (70.4%) than other catalysts at T = 200 degrees C which can be related to the appropriate pore size, suitable acidity and high surface area of the support.
