摘要
Objective: To evaluate the effects and significant factors of gamma-knife radiosurgery on cerebral arteriovenous malformations (cAVM). Method: Three hundred forty-one patients with cAVM treated, after 1995, by Leksell gamma-knife were followed up for 3 to 10 years. To analyze these outcomes 10 data categories were employed sex, age, position, hemorrhage, embolism, dosage, volume, energy, method of fixing, and time of follow-up. Result: Through the binary logistic regression model, we found that the effect of gamma-knife radiosurgery on cAVM was correlated with hemorrhage, dosage, and time of follow-up. There are 2 cases with cyst formation and 15 cases with obstinate cerebral edema, I patient died because of the procedure. Hemorrhage occurred in 10 cases, among those 3 patients died. Conclusions: The gamma-knife is an effective method for the treatment of AVM, but was affected by multiple factors. The complications are relatively rare; however, long-term follow-up is necessary to assess outcomes.
