摘要
Product innovation, aesthetics of form, and usability of products, have become the most important factors that influence the customers' decision-making. But the traditional technology of CAD cannot support these factors perfect especially in market requirements, product form, human factors performance and work environment. Thus Computer-aided Industrial Design Technology comes into being. Aimed at the demand analysis and conceptual design in industrial design process, the technology and system of computer-aided industrial design for product innovation is proposed. At the same time, some relative technologies have been introduced, such as the form patents retrieval technology for hex-vision images and 3D models, the product information modeling based-on component features, the product layout design technology based-on component feature model, color design and evaluation technology for industrial design, ergonomics design and evaluation techniques in industrial design and etc. Based on these technologies, a computer-aided industrial design system for product innovation named PCDS was developed. The case of cleaner analysis proves that this system can promote the product innovation in industrial design quickly and efficiently.
