The co-evolution mechanism of culture embeddedness and industrial cluster's innovation

Based on the concept of embeddedness of economic sociology, this article analyzed the co-evolution mechanism of culture embeddedness and industrial cluster's innovation first, I explained the trend of industrial cluster's innovative evolution from change of five parts: actors, network relationships and structures, resources, innovative capabilities, innovative advantage. Then I pointed out the effect on industrial innovation by cultural embeddedness from its content and degree, I find that different content and degree of cultural embeddedness have quiet different role to industrial cluster's innovation, so cultural embeddedness and innovation of industrial cluster should co-evolution to gain the dynamic competitive advantage. We further found it's not so easy to make change of the content and degree of cultural embeddedness, there exits path-dependency to the evolution of cultural embeddedness, and by using the paradigm of "inheritance-selection-variation" of evolutionary economy, we discussed that the rationality of embedded individual, environment, government and industrial association, openness and non-equilibrium of network had notable effect on the path-breaking to the evolution of cultural embeddedness. We made the conclusion that if can not make the co-evolution of cultural embeddedness and industrial cluster innovation; the latter one will lock-in and decline. Finally we analyzed the co-evolution mechanism of cultural embeddedness and industrial cluster innovation according to suit for environment, industrial phase and type.
