摘要
A variety of off-line techniques have been developed for the identification of neural system dynamics. These techniques have provided a tremendous amount of insight into the function of a number of sensory systems. However, as the promise of engineered interfaces for the central nervous system grows, there is an increasing need for real-time algorithms for prediction and control in neural systems. This paper describes a recursive algorithm for the real-time prediction of neural activity from the sensory stimulus, which is a critical step towards the development of intelligent interfaces for the nervous system.
