This article aims analyzing a meme as a verbivocovisual utterance responsive to the "coffin meme", seeking to address issues related to the verbal and extra-verbal dimensions of the utterances and the contributions of this analysis to the school reading practices. Therefore, Bakhtin Circle's studies are chosen as the theoretical basis, with emphasis on the texts that address such dimensions (BAKHTIN, 2016; VOLOCHINOV, 2013), in addition to the studies of researchers who start from the Bakhtinianthought toinvestigatethe utterances verbivocovisuality (PAULA, 2017; PAULA; SERNI, 2017). Moreover, considerations about the reading of texts will be made by analysing the peculiarities of the discursive genre meme when transposed to classrooms (BAKHTIN, 2013; SOBRAL, 2011). The methodology used will be the correlation between texts (BAKHTIN, 2017) and it is expected that this work will contribute to the studies on the verbivocovisuality of the utterances and to discussions regarding reading school practices.
