摘要：
An account of John C. Turner's (1947-2011) deep influence on the development of Social Psychology is provided. it emphasises Turner's outstanding research and theoretical abilities, leading to the formulation of two core theories of the discipline: Social Identity Theory, and Self-Categorisation theory. 11 is concluded that his work has helped to renovate the entire area of group behaviour and to look at social cognition from a structured mind perspective.
