摘要
This article brings some considerations about the contours of the notion of accountability as an instrument for the realization of a sustainable Public Administration model. In a situation of alleged scarcity of public resources, detachment from planning and a serious crisis of legitimacy of democratic institutions, the Society needs to be encouraged upon to participate in the planning of state political action. But this requires broad access to the information necessary to exercise active and responsible citizenship, including in order to guarantee the dimensions of sustainability of political-administrative decisions. Here the notion of accountability is inserted, as a mechanism of social control and participatory management of administrative activity, the central object of the study. The method used is deductive and the research technique is bibliographical, with the analysis of related legislation and the doctrine about the subject.
